There is this really cute guy at work that I want to ask out? Should I do it or is that a terrible idea?
Absolutely terrible idea. Now, I’m all for work crushes. But you should never act on a work crush.
Crushes are there to help you get through the day. Fill your imagination. Make you think about how great life would be if you just took that leap of faith. That’s the stuff that really keeps you on your toes. The idea of what’s on the other side if only you had the courage to pop the question.
Never pop the question. More than likely they will say no and ruin all the scenarios that you’ve built up in your head. Or worse, they’ll say yes and now you’re dating you coworker. I can’t imagine a scarier nightmare than that.
Keep it all in your head. It’s much safer there.
