I’f I’m being honest, I kind of saw this coming. If I’m being really honest, part of me was kind of hoping this would happen.
It’s not that I don’t like my job. I mean the perks are great. I live in a nice house. I make my own hours. Unlimited vacation days. It’s just that, well, sometimes it’s sooooo boring. There’s so many papers and meetings. Not to mention, most of my coworkers are super old so there’s absolutely no social life. Oh and most of the people who review my work are super mean. The majority of them say it’s subpar. Well except for this one guy in the office but no one trusts him anyway. Thanks for the support Frank – super helpful! I would quit but frankly I like my job title.
Here’s the thing: I don’t want the stinking job but I also don’t like to lose. A few months ago I started hearing rumors that there’s a bunch of other people who want my job and are claiming they would do it better. Well wait just a minute. I’m no good at this job but who are these clowns? No sir. So I decided I was going to do what it takes to keep my job.
So I hit up my buddy who works at LinkedIn and I asked him to use his Premium account to look into the top job candidate. I just wanted to know if there were any gaps or if anything didn’t add up. In exchange for the LinkedIn Premium access I told him I’d never charge him a dime for any handouts. I’m a manager at a local Taco Bell and my buddy can’t stop himself from late night snacking.
So yeah, I guess I’m impeached now. Which totally sucks because I just found out I still have to come into work tomorrow.
