So I’ve been sitting here for three days just thinking to myself “why would a guy who openly dislikes hosting the Golden Globes want to host the event five whole times?”. I tried to forget about it but my attempts were fruitless. I just couldn’t shake this feeling that I was missing something. It’s been keeping me up for days. But suddenly a silly thought popped into my head “wait a minute what if he actually does like hosting the Golden Globes and he’s just lying?”
But no, of course that couldn’t be the case. Right? I mean he pronounces his dislike for the event on a consistent basis. He’s mentioned it at each of his five hosting gigs. Wait. There it is again.

Five times taking the stage for something he abhors? Hmmm curious. But I’m just not sure yet.
I mean sure, the media attention he gains from being “controversial” and “sticking it to Hollywood” truly inflates his cultural relevancy but I’m sure he actually does hate these “Hollywood Elites”. I mean that’s what it’s all about right? Dunking on those ugly and disgusting monsters who make all of that entertainment I like so much. Hahahahah fuck celebrities! Wait, ugh, I’m having another silly thought. I shouldn’t say it. Okay fine. Isn’t Ricky Gervais also a “Hollywood Elite”? Uh oh. Now I’m totally confused.
I guess right now there’s no way to know if he’s doing it for the fame and money or if he is just out there fighting the good fight. I mean five times isn’t enough. Anyone can do something they hate (broadcasted to the entire country) five times. It’s six times where I would really start to get suspicious. So there it is.
