If You Care About The New Alphabet Song Then You Should Be Sent Back To Kindergarten

They changed the alphabet song for kids.

Whatever.

And here’s a real CNN piece about the actual outrage about the new song (CNN Video). I’m not sure if the tweets they show in this video are trolls or not but even when people are trolling it generally sparks real “fake” outrage. Real in the sense that people are actually mad. Fake in that sense that it’s so ridiculous I can’t place it in the same category as real rage.

Anyway, if you’re one of the people that is mad about the new alphabet song you can kick rocks, pal. Here’s a real line from the above video :

“APPARENTLY they made that change on purpose so they could clarify the letters for children BUT the internet is not having it”

Is that the dumbest sentence in the history of sentences. Something has been changed to make it easier for children to learn but old people on the internet who haven’t recited the alphabet in more than 20 years are just NOT having it.

I feel like I’m taking crazy pills.

I mean I understand some level of holding onto the past but this is nuts. Kids are literally having a hard time deciphering the letters L, M, N, O, and P from each other and you’re like “noooo that’s not how I learned how to remember the letters when I was 5”.

Grow up and go back to complaining about why the ghostbusters can’t be women, you idiot.

Oh and by the way, the alphabet song is just Twinkle Twinkle Little Star. Read a book!
