Don’t Get Drunk At The Holiday Party

It’s Holiday Party Szn. This week and next are when most companies have their annual team outings. Some of these parties are small while others are extravagant but regardless of size all of these events are centered around getting drunk with coworkers. I’m here, as your friendly neighborhood blogger, to tell you to not get drunk at the holiday party.

Many people hold their wild side in all year just to let it all go at this one event. The morning after a holiday party you are one of two things: Talking or The Talk. You don’t want to be The Talk. There will be someone who will drink more than they should. This is because I simply can’t reach everyone with my blog. Just make sure you’re not this guy. I’m not anti-fun it’s just one of those situations where there are no pros and only cons. Let’s list it out:

  • You seem fun to your coworkers —-> No one takes you seriously any more
  • You finally take your shot with that person you’ve been crushing on all year —> you kidding with this one, in 2019? In THIS political climate!?! No sir. Have fun in jail. Tell Harvey I say hi.
  • You tell everyone what you really think about them —> the fake persona you’ve carefully crafted is blown
  • You gossip—-> You end up being the gossip for the next full year

Just don’t do it. Ya know what, don’t even go. Stay home from your holiday party. You’re welcome.
